Yika ;; Tsunami Strikes Japan (latest)

|
So, we all know that last Saturday (February 27), the world woke us up with the anger of motherland, earthquake at Chile and Hawaii, Australia and New Zealand might get the trigger but apparently Los Angeles beaches got distracted about it.

And current news - one metre of waves hit the northen Pacific coast of Japan this early morning (Sunday 08.11 GMT).

According to BBC News, hundreds of thousands of people were evacuated from coastal amid predictions that waves up to 3m high could strike. Also, fishermen aren't allowed to go to the sea and fishing ports were asked to be closed for safety.

Not only that! Residents in Indonesia and south-eastern Philippines have been alerted about the tsunami, in case if it strike these two countries out. And residents in the coastal areas are well prepared for it.

Apparently, Chatham Islands (for more, look on my previous post) were hit by 1.5M wave along the North way but no serious damage reported.

Japan is now lucky as the wave of tsunami is only 10cm and was small.

If you have any update, feel free to post and tell us what's going on. You would won't want our lecturer to repeat the same old thing in the class "i only see same people post on the blog bla3" right? :)
