Malacca wants to negotiate for Eye on Malaysia

The Malacca government wants the ferris wheel to be remain in the state.
The operator of the ferris wheel will put forward several proposals to the Belgian based company Fitraco NV, the owner of the ferris wheel to negotiate for the giant ferris wheel.

"The Eye has become a well-known landmark for locals and a tourist attraction."
"The people of Malacca would certainly feel sad if it is removed,” Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam said

He said they are also proposing to the state subsidiary Perbadanan Sungai dan Pantai Melaka (PSPM) to purchase the ferris wheel. If it does decide to remove the ferris wheel, they will replace it with another one.
