Su Wern # 1 : Chile's Earthquake => 2012?

|
I guess all of us knows about Chile's earthquake. It's all over the blog so assuming that you guys had been concerning about this incident, I won't elaborate more on it now.

Have you been watching 2012? Yeah the all end-of-the-world movie which caused quite a big ruffle last year. I never believe in whatever the movie is trying to show, like how the world will end in 2012, with tsunamis everywhere, volcano eruption, humongous earthquakes and all. Well, maybe partially I do believe that the world is slowly meeting it's end but it doesn't mean that it will end in 2012.

The movie might wants to portray the message of 'if we don't protect our Earth, this is what will happen to us in 2 years time'. Maybe the movie did managed to brainwash certain people in believing what they see in the movie. But, to me, it doesn't make sense at all. Some parts might sound logic, but as a whole, I think the movie is overrated. The incidents/tragedies portrayed look too fake and too over to me.

However, Chile's earthquake makes me think all over again. The Earth is indeed trying to warn us. Bu as we all know, there's a limit to everything. What do you think is Earth's 'tolerance level'? 2012 might be an overrated movie, but at least it makes people think. Some might think that it's all nonsense but let's be realistic, something is indeed happening in our world. And not only that, whatever is happening now is becoming more and more serious. Exactly how many times we humans want the Earth to warn us before we actually learn how to appreciate and cherish what mother nature gave us?

Yes. 2012 might look fake. It might give us a 'nah, even if it happens it won't happen in our generation' thought but, is it really true?

Chile's earthquake is not over yet. More earthquakes are on their way, followed by more tsunamis or even volcano eruptions. See? We are in fact watching the scenes in the movie being played in our real life.

I'm not being overreacting to natural disasters but I do think that we ought to do something before things get worse. Watch the movie again (or watch it for those who hasn't) and see. In another words, if you are optimistic enough, you can even start figuring a way to save yourself if the incidents in the movie really happens in real life.

p/s : See how media scares people? Well, if it doesn't remind you about the possible bad consequences, at least it managed to make me reconsider my opinion of a movie based on what's happening in the real world.

true.. it makes me think.. but yet, when everyone is "thinking", the air cond in the room is still on. uncountable cars are still moving on the road.

its like a cycle u see, we harm the earth, the temperature turned extremely hot, then we on air cond almost 24/7 (im only with my fans now), then the weather becoming worse than ever. how do we save it?

i reli came across with this ques before, but i did not seem like getting any solution out of it.

People won't really think properly unless the incident happens to them.

It's natural.
