Alice in Wonderland

Nothing is different. Alice in Wonderland is taken by a novel written by Lewis Caroll and has been remake as a movie in the year 1999 and also 2010. Now, I'll differentiate what makes it different :-

1999:
directed by Nick Willing
queen's head size is normal
no name for the rabbit
March Hare isn't a timid rabbit
no white queen
Mad Hatter is boring
not about engagement
alice's dress is yellow and never changes


2010
directed by Tim Burton
queen's head is big
McTwisp is the name of the white rabbit
March Hare is a timid rabbit
entertainment included
there's a white queen
Mad Hatter isn't boring
Alice is going to get engaged
alice's dress is blue and changes


So there - as you can see, these two movies are way too different even though the characters and the movie title is the same. Somehow, I have to say that AIW 2010 is much more good instead of AIW 1999. There's no entertainment and it really shows the badness of the queen.

Many people say this is the worse Tim Burton's movie ever; too much animation and kinda boring. But I disagree with them. For me, this is the best besides Corpse Bride. I mean, come on ~ every person has their own opinion in everything and I really love how Tim describes Mad Hatter as really a mad person. He's talented and knows how to make hats.


It is really fantastic and somehow I know back in 1990s, there weren't too many effects to create animation and AIW 1999 Chessire was Whoopi Goldberg =P. That's the only thing I can spot.

So people, watch the trailer and if you think it's worth to spend RM10 for it, go! And do not forget to grab Almost Alice; soundtrack for Alice in Wonderland :)
